24 February 2010 - Touch Bionics to demonstrate full product line at AAOP

Comprehensive showcase of company’s prosthetic products and services at Academy meeting

Hilliard, OH & Chicago, IL – February 24, 2010 – Touch Bionics, developer of advanced upper-limb bionic technologies, today announced it will be showing its complete range of products at The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists’ Annual Meeting in Chicago. This impressive line-up includes the recently launched ProDigits solution for patients with missing fingers, the full i-LIMB Hand range, and the company’s functional aesthetic restoration product-line; LIVINGSKIN.

At AAOP, Touch Bionics will not only be showing its world-leading range of products, but also its extensive range of services and programs, designed to support the communities into which the company sells its products. This includes the new addition of the i-LIMB Access program, which allows clinics to offer patients immediate access to the i-LIMB Hand while the company supports the reimbursement process through its RACE (Rehabilitation Assistance & Clinical Evaluation) team.

“While we are proud to be recognized as pioneers in bionic technology, it should be noted that we are also pioneers in the business of bionic technology,” said Stuart Mead, Touch Bionics’ CEO. “The challenges associated with the business realities of bringing to market a next-generation medical technology cannot be underestimated – whether it be reimbursement or working effectively with the various communities into which it has an impact. I am as excited by our advances in bionic business as I am by our advances in bionic technology.”

Visitors to Touch Bionics’ booth will be able to discover more about the company’s unique RACE program, which supports practitioners with detailed knowledge of the required information and clinical criteria for a positive engagement with payers. Other programs to discover include Touch Bionics’ Performance Protection Plan, which offers upgrades and support for up to three years after purchase, and the company’s Upper Extremity Central Fabrication Service, which provides highly skilled socket fabrication services for a range of upper extremity devices.

Touch Bionics will be exhibiting at AAOP’s Annual Meeting from February 24 – 27 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Visitors can meet with the company at booth # 134.

About Touch Bionics
Touch Bionics is a leading developer of advanced upper-limb prosthetics. In late 2009, Touch Bionics brought to market ProDigits, the world’s first bionic fingers for partial hand amputees. This revolutionary product followed the 2007 launch of the i-LIMB Hand, a first-to-market prosthetic device with five individually powered digits. The acquisition of LIVINGSKIN in 2008 enabled the company to apply its commercial and technical expertise into new cosmesis solutions for multi-articulating hands and digits. Touch Bionics continues to develop leading-edge technologies for the treatment of patients with upper-limb deficiencies. For more information, visit www.touchbionics.com.
