biodesigns is a totally unique, innovative and technologically-driven high-performance prosthetic center. Our proprietary clinical approach utilizes state-of-the-art technology, techniques, and the most advanced interface designs for upper extremity prosthetic applications.
“Our focus is not only to provide our patients with the latest in advanced technology but also to reward them with truly visionary design principles that maximize their performance. Our goal is to not just meet their expectations but far exceed them, and we do this with our advanced biomechanical experience, systems and techniques,” stated Randall Alley, CEO and Chief Prosthetist.
At biodesigns, we respect every ounce of our patients' potential and believe their prosthetic system should too. We recognize that for many of our patients there's life beyond Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). While mastering these core tasks are vital, there's a whole new level of performance to be gained from a truly focused system designed to maximize our patients' capabilities rather than mask them.
“Touch Bionics' i-LIMB hand captured our attention because of its revolutionary design, amazing dexterity, natural appearance, and ease of use. It is simply the most advanced commercially available hand. We appreciate the company's drive, like ours, to push the envelope, both in design and function,” stated Alley. “Their advanced platform is a bold reach toward the future and biodesigns is proud to be a Development Partner. We expect more ground-breaking technology from Touch Bionics over the coming years.”
Alley received both his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and his Certification in Prosthetics from UCLA. He is a Licensed and Certified Prosthetist, adjunct Professor at Cal State Dominguez Hills' O&P program, an ISSA certified fitness trainer, a member of The National Athletic Trainers Association, and is a clinical columnist and published author. Alley serves on the boards of O&P Business News and The O&P Edge and received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of the Army for his UE training of military medical personnel.
“I founded biodesigns in 2003 specifically to provide biomechanically superior upper extremity interface designs, prosthetic systems and cutting-edge products for our patients and clients. I wanted to build a company where I could leverage my combined knowledge of the human body and unique clinical skill set with my passion for maximizing human performance,” stated Alley. biodesigns looks forward to building a long term relationship with Touch Bionics not only with the i-LIMB hand but with their future products as well.”
